You can see beyond the limits of visibility
2015
— The first Imago Mundi collection dedicated to the Regions of Italy comes from Campania.
The collection contains the works of 143 artists and aims to create an honest and wide ranging mapping of the contemporary creativity of Campania, from the experimental works by students of the Accademia to historicised artists, from established maestros to the creativity of the young generations.
The work is a reflection on the value of images as a tool of information, on the way they are delivered and the meanings they contain: the image in the background seen through the threshold of a small window appears mostly clear till we attempt to scrutinize it more thoroughly with a little magnifying glass. At that point we discover what is hidden or not immediately and naturally perceptible. On the front there is a transparent film, a color slide seemingly neutral but which contains instead an image that is that of the RGB mosaic of a television screen.
